One Hour DIY: No-sew Curtains

First off, let me say that I am so excited to share this project with everyone! It came to me completely out of nowhere, and it worked out perfectly. I was in Walmart yesterday afternoon stocking up on tissues and NyQuil when I noticed they had a discount fabric section. Of course I found two prints that I absolutely had to have! As the employee was rolling it out to cut my order it dawned on me that the two yards I'd ordered were just a little bit longer than my kitchen window. Also, that it was the exact same color as my teapot. Fate!!

This is my kitchen window looking like a complete mess and in dire need of these curtains. Don't judge me.

All you need for this project is a curtain rod, some fabric, and a hot glue gun.

First, fold your fabric in half to make a long, skinny rectangle with the fold at the bottom.

Next, fold over the left and right edges and glue these hems into place as seen below.

Then, measure out how long you want the curtain to hang and draw a guide line for where to glue your top hem.

Finally, glue that top hem into place forming a loop your rod can slide through, and you've got yourself some brand new curtains in just about five minutes!

I'm so pleased with how these turned out. It's added the perfect touch of warmth to my dining area and tied in a lot of the colors I'd already brought into the kitchen.
