52 Recipes: French Toast Kabobs

I don't know that this can really count as one of my 52 recipes, but this is my blog so I guess I make the rules! French toast is easily in my top five favorite foods of all time. I love eating it in any variation that it might come. In all seriousness, strawberry banana french toast from IHOP is one of my favorite things in the world. I knew there was no way I could recreate IHOP's magic so I thought I'd make my very own version, and that's how French Toast Kabobs were born.

First, you make the french toast. I like to add some cinnamon and vanilla extract to my egg wash.

Then, you cut up your fruit. Tom and I went strawberry picking over the weekend so I had a ton of fresh, bite sized strawberries!

Next you cut up your french toast and thread it all onto your skewers.

Finally, drizzle some (LOTS) of syrup on top and enjoy!

Yeah, there's technically no "recipe" for this installment of 52 Recipes, but it's still one of the best ones I've shared with you! Give it a try with your favorite toppings and let me know what you think.
