Seven Inspiration Sunday

Im going to just be honest for a minute, my work load is really getting to me. The first few weeks of working such long days really wasn't bad, but now I'm completely drained. It's not that I'm physically exhausted, it's much more mental and emotional. Working eleven hours in a day means that I have no real time for the things that are actually refreshing for me. I don't want to complain, because I truly am grateful for the opportunity to help support Tom and I. I suppose what I'm trying to say is that I desperately wish that I had more time to craft and cook and decorate and pour into this blog, and I am so thankful for the few moments I do have to spend here.

Alright, enough of that. Now let's focus on some inspiration to carry us through another week!

1. The Great Gatsby. This is one of my favorite books, and I absolutely could not wait for the movie (Fitzgerald's writing, Leonardo DiCaprio's acting and Baz Luhrman's directing all in one place?!). Tom and I finally got the chance to go this afternoon, and I walked out of the theater on cloud nine. It was absolutely perfect in every way. I left wanting to see it a hundred times more and feeling so inspired to write.

2. This painting because I'm suddenly a person who can't get enough of plants of all kinds.

3. This super quick and easy breakfast of peanut butter, apple, and granola rolled up in a tortilla.

4. This burlap and lace wrapping.

5. The flower that we found sprouted on our zucchini plant this morning. We're not total gardening failures!

6. The pure love and excitement with which this rock was given to me by one of the kids at school. Turns out three year olds can be pretty inspiring

7. This simple necklace update from Marilyn at Brewed Together is the inspiration for a project I'm excited to share with you later this week.

What's been inspiring you lately?
